The PreCAL Program

In PreCAL students study the Certificate 2 in General Education for Adults, as well as Certificate 1 in Vocational Preparation.

The course is delivered over a 12-month period and is a year 10 equivalent with a strong focus on introducing the World of Work.

This course is designed to support the students in life skills, for example: how to start a bank account, what is meant by forms of ID, driver education, studying for your learners permit.

Students also have the opportunity to undertake a work experience module in the industry of their choice.

Students also visit TAFE Providers to find out what educational/employment pathways are available i.e. Carpenter, Electrician, Equine Handler or Hospitality worker. Other studies include Environment, Community, Literacy, Numeracy, Indigenous Affairs and Bike Mechanics.
