All UYCH Family & Children’s Services are community operated not for profit programs. This means that any profit generated is returned directly to the program or to the community it serves. Community based children’s programs are operated by the community for the community.

Our Philosophy
We believe that every family has the right to access quality childcare and educational services. Our services endeavour to support the specific needs of each family in the community and enhance family life. We recognise that there are some times when children need to be cared for or enjoy social interactions outside their homes. Our services seek to provided a warm and nurturing, homelike atmosphere where children can play and develop whilst being respected for their individuality.
Staff
All UYCH Children’s Services are staffed by qualified Early Childhood Professionals who are selected for both their knowledge and skills as well as their personal approach to the care and wellbeing of children. All UYCH Family & Children’s Service staff undergo Victorian Police checks and all senior staff must hold a current Level 2 First Aid Certificate and Food Hygiene Qualifications.
UYCH Children’s Services are recognised for their industry expertise in delivering quality early childhood programs. All UYCH programs are fully accredited with the National Childcare Accreditation Council and are also used as a training venue for future childcare professionals.

As registered Children’s Services all UYCH Family & Children’s Programs offer Commonwealth Child Care Benefit. Contact your nearest Family Assistance Office for more information.
National Childcare Accreditation
All UYCH Family & Children’s Services are registered with the National Childcare Accreditation System and actively promote the concept of high quality childcare for families. Our organisation has consistently gained the highest Accreditation standard achievable since the first program commenced operation in 1997.
Training Future Early Childhood Professionals
In line with the UYCH Learning Centre Mission Statement, our organisation also provides Accredited training in Children’s Services and Community Services to those seeking a career in Early Childhood. In-Service Training for staff is also provided to other Childcare Services.
