Project Manager – SWEY Strategic Alliance

The Project

Expressions of interest are being sought from prospective applicants to undertake a project to investigate the opportunities for learners to develop skill sets and identify pathways for gaining employment.

Local employers will be engaged by the project to identify growth areas and to inform the data analysis of potential partnership collaboration and the development of learning opportunities.

This position is located in Yarra Junction Victoria.

This is a funded project commencing in May 2016 and concluding May 2017.

Key goals:

  • Research and investigate of the needs of disadvantaged community members with barriers to accessing local learning;
  • Consultation with stakeholders to determine current service provision and identify gaps in provision;
  • The analysis of the project;
  • The evaluation of project outputs;
  • Keeping within budget and timelines; and
  • Presentation and reporting on the project.

Key selection criteria:

  • Relevant experience in Community Development or in related discipline with specialised skills in project management
  • Excellent presentation and report writing skills and ability to engage community members, employers and organisations as required
  • Demonstrated experience in community partnerships, identifying gaps in service delivery and compiling associated reports
  • Capacity to work with minimal supervision and as part of a partnership; to use initiative, follow instruction, be accountable, set priorities, organise and manage workload and work to a high standard
  • Excellent written, analytical, problem solving and decision making skills

The successful applicant will undergo a police check, must hold a Working With Children Check and maintain their own relevant professional insurances.

UYCH Community College - Trainer Assessor (Certificate III in Aged care/HACC)

An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate trainer/assessor to build on their career with UYCH Community College. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivery of high quality training and assessment of Aged Care and Home and Community Care to adult learners.

The Upper Yarra Community House is seeking a qualified, passionate and experienced trainer who has current industry qualifications and experience.

The successful applicant will ideally be able to demonstrate:

  • Current work experience working in the aged care sector
  • Current work experience as a trainer
  • Hold a Certificate III in Aged Care and Certificate III in Home and Community Care or equivalent
  • Hold a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment -TAE40110
  • Have great communication skills to interface with the stakeholders of all levels
  • Organisational skills to manage your diary ensuring reliability and punctuality
  • Be a team player
  • Current IT skills
  • Be flexible

This is a sessional contract for the duration of the course. Salary packaging benefits exist.

The role will be based at Yarra Junction or Mt Evelyn in the beautiful Yarra Valley, with varying hours and days of work.

Position description – Trainer Assessor Certificate III in Aged Care/HACC

Outside School Hours Coordinator

The job:

  • Before and after school care – Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the day to day operational aspects of Outside School Hours Care.
  • Coordinate the provision of high quality child care, supervision of staff and liaison with parents.
  • Ensure compliance with Licensing and Accreditation Standards.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Minimum Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent
  • Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate
  • Food Handlers Certificate;
  • Valid Working with Children Check (employee status)
  • Clean Police record
  • Well-developed computer skills and competent in use of the suite of Microsoft Office programs
  • High level of customer service
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to work effectively accurately with minimal supervision
